ONLY LOVE + ANARCHY SAVES US (art event)
Love alone will not save us.
Anarchy alone will not save us.
It’s going to take both and here’s why.
We are seeing first hand everything they have told us was a lie. So the entire system needs to crumble. The anarchists will tear down the system.
Anarchists are intelligent, street smart and angry. They are willing to tear down towers to find the truth. They are fuelled by an inner fuck you labelled molotov aimed directly at an oppressor on behalf of the oppressed... we need the Anarchists to resist and fight back against control and expose the darkness in their agenda. They harness their anger for a cause and they demand change.
Why do we need Love with this? Because if we are learning anything right now there is a darkness in power that is everywhere no border has not been infiltrated and no leader or politician has not been compromised.
It’s true the world is a dark scary sick place in the darkest halls of power. Love will illuminate the darkness. Love doesn’t care who you voted for, where you were born, what faith you follow and in such a divisive world love can unite us... the people.
The Anarchists will tear it down and love will bring hope that we will build it back better in a way humanity should be. Somehow I’ve ended up one of those people who has the mind of an anarchist and a heart filled with love for all of us. I am made for days like these and I know “Only Love + Anarchy” saves us now. We must work together.
Love + Anarchy has manifested an art revolution “Brick by Brick”. The concept is we all paint a brick with a message of hope, anger, freedom, love and outrage etc and create a display of how we are feeling and this will be displayed at the house of reverence store (378 High St, Northcote).
Bricks have been a symbol of rebellion throughout modern history for example “Stonewall” and to be honest if you don’t feel like throwing one right now there’s something wrong with you. Violence begets violence so instead I want us all to create an artwork that becomes a movement. “Brick by Brick” paving the future we want and not the one we are told we want. This art and installation needs fellow anarchists and lovers like you!!
